Why I wanted to start my own Blog!

Hi, my name is Zoe. I will be turning 9 next month. I have cerebral palsy but I do not let it slow me down. Of course, there have been times when I thought ''why me'' but then I remember what my mommy told me. ''Everybody has their challenge in life'', mine is a physical challenge, that every one can see. A kid in my class might struggle in math. Math comes easy to me. So, although it may take longer to get where I am going, I am still right there with the crowd.

I decided to start this blog so others can see that I am no different than anyone else. I am an 8 year old girl that loves to sing, play guitar (my daddy plays too and good, but I am still learning)and design clothes to wear. I have a (crazy) little sister, Emma who is 6. Her and I play dress up, sing karaoke, watch Hannah Montana, take singing lessons together, jump on the trampoline and sometimes I read to her. I do all the normal things a 8 year old does. Yes, there are times when I will just sit back and watch as my friends run around, but I sit and laugh at them or I take pictures of them (if mommy gives me her camera to use!), there is no need to be sad because I am still having fun!

For those who do not know what cerebral palsy is, it is brain damage. It can be mild to severe. Some people have to be in wheelchairs, I am very lucky; I do not! It was a long road getting here though. The story of me being able to walk on my own will be in my next blog. Mommy says it is time to go eat dinner! Thanks for reading my story...more to come;)

  1. Zoe, you are growing up so fast. I think it's so cool you are blogging. I look foward to reading your next post. You write so well. I think others can learn so much from your wisdom! Love, your aunt, Manda.
